The Witchcraft & Pagan Periodicals Archive is dedicated to documenting, preserving, and improving access to the rich history of Pagan publishing.
For decades, magazines, newsletters, journals, and zines have recorded the ideas, traditions, scholarship, activism, creativity, and community life of modern Paganism. Many of these publications are now difficult to locate, exist only in scattered collections, or are at risk of being lost.

The Archive serves as a growing bibliographic directory and research resource, connecting researchers, practitioners, collectors, and the curious to existing repositories while documenting the history of Pagan periodicals. Through collaboration with libraries, archives, publishers, and the wider community, we aim to help preserve this important part of Pagan cultural history for future generations.

My name is Daphna Romanoff and I am a librarian, hedgewitch, and mom based in Arizona (originally from NY) with a passion and love of vintage and long-lost rare books and ephemera. Originally, I decided to start this project because I was curious about some of the newsletters and publications I read about in old witchcraft books (such as Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler). I found it very difficult to track down the publications and realized many people would probably love to be able to read them too. I was able to find many publications on the Internet Archive, and so I began curating lists based on publication date. My hope for the future of this project is to preserve and archive many more of these precious zines, newsletters, and micro-publications for future generations. Thank you for visiting.
