The Bridge Between the Worlds (a.k.a. the Bridge) was a small, independently published Canadian newsletter serving readers interested in the older traditions of European Witchcraft. Edited by Birigit, it described itself as a “non-profit contact publication” and provided a space for articles, correspondence, discussion, and exchange among practitioners of Gardnerian, pre-Gardnerian, hereditary, and other traditional forms of Witchcraft.

What stands out about The Bridge is its intimate, conversational character. Readers wrote directly to Birigit and to one another, responding to articles, challenging claims, offering critiques, and continuing discussions from previous issues. The Bridge fostered an atmosphere of independent thought and open discussion while emphasizing respect for differing traditions.

The Bridge also participated in a wider international network of Pagan periodicals, exchanging publications and advertising with newsletters and magazines in Canada, the United States, Britain, Australia, and elsewhere. These exchanges offer a glimpse into the informal print networks through which Pagan and Witchcraft communities communicated and discovered one another in the years before widespread internet access.
